Department of Chemistry and iNano Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Centre, Aarhus University invites applications for postdoctoral research positions at the laboratory for Medicinal Polymer Chemistry (head of the lab : Alexander N. Zelikin). Our laboratory is highly interdisciplinary with activities spanning from organic synthesis, to biomaterials design and characterization and their in vivo evaluation, as well as virology. Our core research interest is within designing innovative prodrugs and implantable biomaterials for the use in “enzyme-prodrug therapies” – a project funded by the ERC Consolidator grant. We are also developing prodrugs to act as broad-spectrum antiviral agents and/or as long circulating pools of antiviral therapeutics. Further to this, we are opening up a new research direction related to inorganic materials serving as catalysts (nanozymes) and /or related to hypothermia. We are seeking motivated young researchers with a PhD degree and expertise in one or more of the following areas of science: prodrug design, organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, hydrogel biomaterials, inorganic nanoparticle synthesis, hyperthermia. For detail on our laboratory and publications, see our website, www.zelikin-lab.com . Several research positions are available and open until filled with suitable candidates. To apply, please send your letter of motivation, CV, and a list of publications to Alexander N. Zelikin (firstname.lastname@example.org)
