JOB /OFFER DESCRIPTION 
This two-year post-Doc position provides full data analysis of the ZEUS project (Artificial intelligence to optimize cytarabine leukemia patients).  The Zeus Project is a real-world study performed at the University Hospital of Marseille in adult patients with Myeloid Acute Leukemia treated with standard cytarabine chemotherapy.  The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of CDA status (phenotype + genotype) on drug’s pharmacokinetics, response, PFS and safety.  In addition, impact of the disease on CDA status will have to be deciphered, i.e., to determine whether in addition to being a predictive marker, CDA could be a prognostic marker of relapse. 

The candidate will be asked to develop specific PK/PD model, testing covariates of interest including functional or genetics covariates, to describe the PK of cytarabine, and to develop a model-informed adaptive dosing tool to customize Cytarabine administration at bedside.

WHAT WE OFFER: The ambition of the COMPO Inria-Inserm joint project-team is to develop novel mathematical models integrating data available in clinical oncology (from clinical trials and routine care), in order to provide decision-making tools to oncologists. The main goals are to develop personalized medicine. To achieve these, the team uniquely gathers mathematicians, pharmacologists and medical oncologists. It is integrated in the Center of Cancer Research of Marseille (Inserm U1068, CNRS UMR7258, Aix-Marseille Université UM105, Institut Paoli-Calmettes) and located in the La Timone Health Science campus of the University Hospitals of Marseille (AP-HM), close to the INCa-labeled center for early phase clinical trials (CLIP2). This joint project-team, built on strong expertise in mathematical modeling, pharmacometrics and experimental and clinical oncology, is committed to develop novel methodologies combining mechanistic and statistical modeling to be ultimately applied at bedside.

Post doc statutory salary is determined by Aix Marseille Université – around 2 082.39 euros per month after taxation

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED RESEARCH FIELDS, REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL, PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, OTHER RESEARCH REQUIREMENTS
Scientist, M.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent with strong background in pharmaceutical science and oncology.   

Soft skills/Professional skills: Data analysis; programming and coding; population pharmacokinetic analysis; PK/PD relationship study.

Good knowledge of medical issues in oncology, i.e., optimizing the toxicity-efficacy ratio in patients.

At least 3 years of experience in a closely related field with proven track records. 

Autonomy, scientific communications, basic knowledge in French is a plus
