The Opportunity
The Colorado School of Mines (Mines) invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in a team-based approach for the continued development and teaching of courses for the interdisciplinary undergraduate Quantitative Biosciences and Engineering (QBE) Program. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a variety of core undergraduate biology courses (including labs) such as introductory biology 1 (molecules, cells, genetics), introductory biology 2 (evolution, ecology, organismal biology), cell biology, and genetics. Depending on experience and teaching needs of the program, there will be the opportunity to develop independent lecture and lab courses in the candidates’ areas of expertise.

Pay Rate
Mines is offering an academic year salary of $53,560 - $94,800.
Mines takes into consideration a combination of internal equity in the home department and the candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
