Description of the research activity:

The research fellow position is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) project “Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem” (iNEST) funded from the European Union - NextGenerationEU. The research fellow will contribute in particular to Research Topic 2 (RT2 - Smart Manufacturing, Mechatronics and Robotics) of Spoke 3 (Green and Digital transition for Advanced Manufacturing Technology) of the iNEST project, carrying out industrial research and/or development mainly on the following topics: (a) Efficient methods for the design of digital twins in smart and sustainable production systems'; (b) Validation of such digital twins in industrial applications in SMEs. In addition, he/she will actively participate in and/or contribute to other activities (ongoing or future) of Spoke 3 and the overall I-NEST ecosystem (e.g., technology transfer, networking, and reporting)
