IDIBAPS launches the second call of the DYNAMIS PhD Programme, offering up to five fully funded predoctoral fellowships in Biomedicine for motivated scientists.

Are you a talented young scientist ready to tackle real-world medical challenges? The August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS) is offering up to five PhD fellowships in the second call of DYNAMIS — the Doctoral Programme Yielding Novel Advancements in Medicine and Innovative Solutions, co-funded by the European Union. Applications are open to outstanding candidates of any nationality and scientific background.

The expected starting date for the selected researchers is between the end of December 2026 and April 2027 and will be agreed on a case-by-case basis between the candidate and the Principal Investigator.

In DYNAMIS, you will be co-supervised by a clinician and a translational scientist within your chosen research line, enabling you to gain direct contact with patients and to steer your research towards their needs. You can select up to three research priorities from the 33 research lines available in the current call, which you can review on the DYNAMIS website. These research lines span the different IDIBAPS research areas:

  • Cancer
  • Clinical and experimental neuroscience
  • Liver, digestive system and metabolism
  • Respiratory, cardiovascular and renal pathobiology and bioengineering
  • Biological aggression and response mechanisms

You will receive comprehensive training through our doctoral schools and institutional courses, and you will be able to choose from a range of career development opportunities. Last but not least, you will have the opportunity to undertake a secondment at an international institution or in a different sector (for example, industry), taking advantage of our extensive network of Associated Partners and the collaborations offered by our institution.
