Job description

Implementation of automated setup of free energy perturbation and empirical valence bond simulations, especially aimed at catalytic systems in interlayers between electrode and electrolyte. We will use Python together with VeloxChem, Gromacs and OpenMM software to easily study complex systems. The goal is to have an openly available software by the end of the project life, which can be used by people with little or no programming experience to simulate electrocatalytic reactions.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Experience of simulations with quantum chemical and molecular dynamics software.

Preferred qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in chemistry, physics or related fields.
  • We would like you to have good knowledge in catalysis simulations, with experience in both quantum chemical and molecular dynamics software
  • Experience with programming in Python is meriting.
  • Good collaboration skills are of great importance, and it is meritorious if you have published in collaboration with other research groups.
  • We would like for you to work independently within the project.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
