The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. Scientist (Tenure Track)

Your tasks
You will join and participate to the research performed in the HPNALGS group that focuses on scientific computing, advanced numerical methods, numerical linear algebra, including both deterministic and randomized algorithms. It also includes research in high-performance computing for scientific applications particularly in molecular simulations, and low-rank tensor methods for approximating solutions to high-dimensional problems.

Your profile

• PhD degree in numerical mathematics, computer science or a similar discipline
• Deep knowledge of advanced numerical methods and scientific computing
• Knowledge of numerical linear algebra and high-performance computing will be a plus
• Knowledge of molecular simulations will be a plus
• Fluency in English
