About the FSTM

The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.

The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) at the University of Luxembourg contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine.

Your role

  • Participate in experiments within different microbiome and cancer related project
  • Collect, interpret, and analyse research related data and results
  • Ensure proper scientific documentation, e.g. protocols, reports
  • Document performed experiments and analyses in a lab book
  • Participate and present obtained data in meeting
  • Participate in the generation of scientific reports
  • Contribute to general tasks in the laboratory
  • Contribute to cooperation with other research organisations

The activities can be subject to changes or adaptations if required by the project, the structure or the needs of the laboratory.

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline
  • Previous professional experience as a research technician or research and development engineer
  • Experience with conducting animal/in-vivo experiments is required
  • Experience in cell culture techniques, if possible, in 3D cell culture models (organoids, spheroids)
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR, FACS analysis, Western blotting, imaging techniques are considered an advantage
  • Skills in written and spoken English is required (C1), knowledge in German or French (B1) is an asset
