Job description

KTH Royal Institute of Technology invites applications for a Postdoc position in generalizable uncertainty estimation, focusing on medical image analysis. The role involves developing joint human-AI strategies based on uncertainty, designing clinical trials in collaboration with medical experts, and creating new approaches to uncertainty estimation and model confidence. The successful candidate will supervise PhD students and contribute to high-impact research published in top-tier conferences. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field, have a strong research track record, and possess excellent programming and communication skills.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Publications in top machine learning conferences
  • Strong mathematical background
  • Experience supervising PhD students
  • Knowledge of Dockers and Linux Server environments
  • Course development/teaching
  • Experience in industry
  • Experience working with sensitive medical data
  • Grant writing experience
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
